Sam grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University where he received a Masters Degree in Library Science. He went on to complete a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. Sam now lives in Connecticut with his wife and two teenage children and works at Naugatuck Valley Community College as the Library Director, teaching Sociology online part-time. Some of his interests include traveling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, walking, and going to the gym. |

Ginger Davidson

Ginger currently co-owns and manages a public-use grass runway airport in Southern Indiana. She is “semi-retired” from a career in the computer industry having worked primarily as an engineer in large mainframe systems.
Ginger grew up in a small town in central Indiana and attended Ball State University. She co-owns the airport with her husband Rich who is a pilot for a commuter airline and shares in airport management responsibilities with Ace (the dog) and Meatball (the cat).
Besides aviation, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and beekeeping. |

While Bob grew up in the States (Bayonne, NJ) and studied at Lafayette and Princeton, he has lived in Australia since 1980, where he has been a minister in the Uniting Church in Australia (as well as spending nine years as a staff member of an ecumenical agency). Presently, Bob is minister of an ecumenical parish relating both to the Uniting Church and the Anglican Church. His wife, Rosalie, is a relief teacher. Bob's interests include drama, music, travel, interfaith relations, and stand-up comedy. A few years ago, Bob completed a doctorate on Christmas in popular culture. HIs ambition is to write "the great Australian murder mystery". |

Betsey was a member of the GSE team to India in 1999 and joined the eclub as a charter member. She grew up in northwestern Connecticut and has lived there ever since. She just finished building a house just over the border into Massachusetts where she lives with Don Roeder and their dog, Foster.
Betsey worked as a Medical Technologist for many years in Waterbury, CT. During this time she received a Master's degree and then a Ph.D from City University of New York. She now teaches microbiology and other medical tech. courses at Bronx Community College, Bronx, NY.
She enjoys outdoors activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking and adventure travel. |

Bharat grew up in Goa, a small state on India's west coast where he is
currently based. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in
Civil Engineeringfrom the Shivaji University, 1992 batch. Bharat
joined the Rotary Club of Vasco Da Gama (RI district 3170) in 1996.
He was the President of the Vasco club during Rotary's Centennial
year. He is a Paul Harris fellow.
He is married to Jennifer, also a civil engineer and a Paul Harrs
Fellow. They have 1 son, Rahul. |

Ruthie was introduced to Rotary as a D7890 GSE Team Member to Karnataka, India in 2004. She worked as a newspaper reporter for weekly publications in Connecticut prior to earning a M.S. in School Counseling from Central Connecticut State University in 2006. She and her husband, Tony, live in her hometown of Winsted, CT where she is currently a stay-at-home mom to their 20-month-old son, Marco. In her spare time she dabbles in freelance writing and enjoys reading and cooking. |

Conrad grew up in Farmingdale, Long Island, where he received a BS in Social Work from Adelphi University. He then moved to Connecticut, where he received an MA in English at CCSU. He lives in Torrington and teaches English at Litchfield (CT) High School. Conrad is active in local community theatre, especially with the Goshen Players. He is married to Lydia Babbitt, and they have one daughter, Caroline. Conrad enjoys reading, listening to music, going to the movies and the theatre, travelling, and writing haiku. |

Currently she is a group leader/instructor for Elderhostel in San Juan Islands, WA. Maria's memberships include trails committee, Islands Oil Spill Assoc., Benedictine Oblate. Global Village Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. She loves to travel, hike, bike and exercise. |

Tom grew up in Seattle, WA then went to Alaska where he received a BSEE and BSCE in engineering. The Army took him for two years and then it was back to Alaska where he spent another 35 years with his wife Maria and raised his two daughters. He and Maria moved from Alaska to Friday Harbor, WA where he is semi-retired but still working on special projects related to the power industry. Tom enjoys motorcycles, old car restoration, fly fishing, and travel. Tom's other activities of interest are supporting Habitat for Humanity builds, mostly in New Zealand, volunteering and working with Engineers without Borders, and learning to play the guitar.

Steve Wood

Steve lives in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England for half the year and vacations at Spruce Creek Fly-in, Daytona Beach, Florida for the other half year.
Steve is very much into flying and in particular flying in support of a good cause - flying for the disabled. n the past year he has set a massive total of 215 aviation records and has claimed 90 of these as FAI World Speed Records - the most world records ever set by a British pilot in aviation history. Steve's airplane, known as "Goofy" from its unique registration N-600FY, sports the Rotary Wheel on the tail and he's met numerous Rotarians on his record setting flights.
